About Me
Welcome to Birch and Lens Photography. I’m Stacy.
Photography has been part of me for as long as I can remember. It’s how I’ve learned to notice the quiet moments, the ones that often go unseen, but mean the most. A gentle touch. A shared laugh. The way someone looks at the people and animals they love.
At Birch and Lens Photography, I specialize in capturing life’s most precious moments without props or forced poses. I believe the most meaningful photographs happen when nothing is manufactured, when you are simply present, exactly as you are. My role is not to direct your story, but to witness it and preserve these moments exactly as they are raw, heartfelt, and genuine.
I am drawn to the seasons of life that shape us most deeply: welcoming a newborn, the evolving connection of a family, the quiet companionship of an animal, and the sacred moments at the end of life. These are times of profound love, vulnerability, and transition. They deserve to be documented with care, honesty, and respect.
The birch tree holds deep significance in both my life and my work. Birch trees symbolize strength, resilience, growth, and adaptability. They bend without breaking. They weather harsh seasons. They begin again.
That is what I see through my lens.
I see strength in new parents learning their way. I see resilience in families who have weathered change. I see a deep, unspoken connection between people and the animals who walk beside them. I see growth, transition, and the quiet beauty of being human.
Birch and Lens Photography was born during a season of growth and new beginnings in my own life. This work is not about perfection. It is about presence. It is about honoring moments that cannot be recreated but deserve to be remembered.
When you look back at your photographs years from now, I don’t want you to see perfect poses. I want you to feel something. I want you to remember what it was like to be there.
That is why I do this.
